This was the day when God reminded me how blessed I am. Yes, I’ve got separated parents (literally and figuratively) but I know and feel how much they love me, I can attest to that. I grew up knowing that there are things that cannot be done but didn’t take that as a hindrance or never was I despaired knowing that my life is different from others.
See? I’ve got lovely siblings from the other side of the world. Indeed, we grew up apart from each other but we have ways on keeping the bond intact. For the younger sibs, of course they have met me just recently and I can say that are happy to have a big Sister.
My brother Marvin, is now 14 and we both had chances in knowing each other (we’ve got same birthdays! Well, we celebrate on the same day since Phils is ahead by one day). I took care of him when he was here. He was always thrilled in seeing me and Dad says he misses me all the time. While he kept looking for me, I was also excited to see him. He kept the sweetness in him and he never forgot me even when he’s back home.
My brother Matthew, is now 4 and I can say that he already loves me. He’s so charming and he always comes to me for a hug or for me to carry him. He talks like Mickey Mouse and he even memorized the whole episode of the cartoon. He kisses me all the time and hugs me. He had a heart problem before and did not have a normal life back then.
My baby sister Raine, is 2 years old and has GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) and feeds through the tube connected in her intestines. She’s a DOLL (looks like Hello Kitty, haha!)
And..I love them. :)
I had the happiest day of my life yesterday and even got the chance to chat with my mom when I went home. It was indeed a reminder for me that God loves me and He transmits it through my parents. I also got the chance to bond with my Grandma Nye Nye (who helped my mom rear me).
At the end of the day, I just rested with a smile embedded on my face. I cannot just trade this for anything. It’s their LOVE that keeps me going.
